Each year I look forward to fresh peaches from our backyard peach tree. I had planned on photographing them in all their bright orange, pink and red glory before I processed them for future enjoyment. But, before I could pick them, we were hit by a freak hail storm. What you see was what I could salvage when I picked them and put them in a large stainless steel bowl. I still think they are beautiful and unusual. No rhyme or reason, no set pattern: spontaneous. I like images that just seem to “happen” in a different way so I painted it as it was.
